General Comments

There will be limited race day registration. Registration will be cut off at 250 participants-- don't put off registration.
The Staggerwing Duathlon is a USAT sanctioned race.
Check-in, race packet pick-up, and registration will be at the Start/Finish area from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 5 and from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6.


Course Description


Run: 2.48 miles -- The run course will start near the Staggerwing museum going out onto the airport runway to a turn around point and back behind Staggerwing museum, down a small hill and out to the main road via the Parish property private drive. The main road is a turn around point and the Parish private drive is traced back to the main Staggerwing entry road. The Staggerwing entry road is followed toward the main road to the transition area.

Bike: 18.6 miles -- An out and back course traveling out Highway 130 to five points near Motlow College and down a gradual hill to Raus Community. The course continues on this road toward Highway 41A making a u-turn 0.25 miles from 41A at the site of the Prentice Cooper Homestead, and back to transition on the same course. Mr. Cooper was governor of Tennessee from 1939 to 1945.

Run: 2.48 miles -- the reverse of the first 2.48 mile run.

Important Dates


Late Fee of $10 will be assessed for entries received after July 30, 2010.
Entries received after July 30, 2010 will not be guaranteed a T-shirt.
Entry fees are nonrefundable after July 23.
