10 Charity Slots Available -- For those of you who REALLY wish to participate.  Our registration limit has been met but we will allow a few additional slots with all of the entry fees going to our supporting charities.

Registration for 2008 is closed -- at this point the race is well beyond our published participant limit.

Water Temperature-- The water temperature of Woods Reservoir on Sunday morning was 76.3 degrees

Road Construction-- There is road construction on a small portion of our race course (the causeway near UTSI -- about mile 14 on the bike course).  This construction is to shore up the sides of the causeway and does not involve the pavement of the road.  That road is currently closed to vehicular traffic.  As it stands now, we have an agreement with the construction company that will allow us to use the road for the race.  This road construction should not alter the course of the triathlon.  It does however effect those of you who want to train on the course prior to the race. 

Technical T-shirts -- Our race shirts this year will be Zorrel brand technical shirts.  We will be placing the order for shirts a little earlier than normal and for that reason, if you register after May 20, the date for entry fee increase, your shirt size will not be guaranteed.  We plan to order the female cut version of the shirt for female participants -- this shirt fits snuggly, so keep that in mind when specifying shirt size.

Wetsuit Rental -- ACME Multisport will be renting wetsuits ($30) for the race.  If you are interested you can give them a call at 615-855-1760.  You can find their website here.

26th Annual Mach Tenn Triathlon

We strive to make this a fun, challenging and friendly event.  We believe the venue for Mach Tenn is nearly perfect.  The race site overlooks peaceful Woods Reservoir in a remote area of Middle Tennessee.  The roads used for the bike and run courses, though not closed to traffic, have very little traffic.  The run course boasts a few hills (though not steep ones) to add a little challenge.
  • Mach Tenn is limited to the first 320 registered participants
  • Included in the post race refreshments are homemade black eyed peas and hot off the griddle "hoe" cakes.
  • Michelob Ultra provided for those 21 years of age and over.
